Elgin Energy EsCo Ltd. is seeking to develop a battery storage project on land located at Land off The Roughs, Dimmingsdale, WV4 4XQ.
The development will occupy an area of approx. 2.1ha with the wider site being used for new tree, hedgerow and wildflower planting allowing for biodiversity net gains. The overall site is approx. 4.72ha in size. The site is located c. 2km south-west of the centre of Castlecroft, c. 800m west of Lower Penn and c. 5.8km south-west of the centre of Wolverhampton. This website has been created as part of the pre-planning process in order to allow for comments and feedback from interested parties before the planning application is submitted.
It is important to note that the project is evolving through detailed design and stakeholder consultation. We suggest that you revisit the website from time to time to check on developments or changes to the project.
We are targeting submission of a planning application in August 2023, once we have received local feedback and made any necessary adjustments to our proposal.
In order to inform the planning application, responses are requested by 31st July 2023.
